Part 1 of "Ego is The Enemy"

Hai everyone, I come here again and welcome to my blog ☺

This time, I will tell you about a book which I already review before. It is about part of “Ego is The Enemy”.  First, I will tell my review about Part 1 : Aspire.

PART I ASPIRE

This part has ten points, there are talk, to be or to do?, become a student, don’t be passionate, follow the canvas strategy, restrain yourself, get out of your own head, the danger of early pride, work, and for everything that comes next, ego is the enemy.

This part said :

“be slow in deliberation, but be prompt to carry out your resolves. The best thing which we have in ourselves is good judgement.” Constantly train your intellect, Isocratrs told Demonicus, “ for the greatest thing in the smallest compass is a sound mind in a human body”.

“The ability to evaluate one’s own ability is the most important skill of all. Without it, improvement is impossible. And certainly ego makes it difficult every step of the way.”
— Ryan Holiday—

We start talking about our future achievements to make us feel important and productive but we forget to put in the work. We get in our heads and become impulsive and reactive instead of practicing patience and being present and practical. We want to be the one in charge and do everything instead of helping and trust others. One might say that the ability to evaluate one’s own ability is the most important skill of all. What is rare is not raw talent, skill, or even confidence, but humility, diligence, and self- awareness.

”It’s easier to talk about writing, to do the exciting things related to art and creativity also literature, than to commit the act itself”.

Therefore, it is imperative that we know how to avoid and identify them in ourselves and in others. Here are the main points made by the author about the ego and aspiration :

First, the ego wants to project the idea that we are busy doing important work without actually doing it. It feels like work but it’s just us feeding our ego. Then, it wants only the perks that come from being famous or rich without wanting to take the necessary steps to reach that goal. Having a goal bigger than us counteracts that.

Also, if you being passionate can lead us to do stupid things. Just be calm and calculate your next steps with a clear and objective mind. Just like learning, helping others keeps us humble. Having a mindset of abundance will allow you to strive and forge relationships without having to fight your ego. Don’t allow your ego to get offended. Endure the pain. The last that the most important thing you can do to fight your ego is to focus on creating value. Invest in yourself by thinking long term.

“Iam going to be myself, the best version of that self. I am in this for the long game, no matter how brutal it might be”.

So, How is that? It’s so interesting, right?
Don’t forget to wait next part.

SEE YOU AGAIN๐Ÿง•

  1. it's not bad, this is good because it discusses the importance of fighting the ego in yourself in order to achieve future success, but i still confuse it with the word "passionate" that you mean, because according to my perspective, the word isn't entirely bad, maybe next time can be changed by selecting diction more appropriate. good joob๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€
