First Journal vs Second Journal (Review)

"Improving students' reading competence through DRTA (Directed Reading Thinking Activity) technique" 

        The first journal has been written by Pamadya Vitasmoro, Indonesia. The subject of this journal is for seventh semester students of D-IV Midwifery Program of Health Sciences Faculty of Kadiri University. This study has done from 2015 until 2016. The aim of this journal is to improve student's reading competence with DRTA technique. So that, this journal use critical thinking by students, so students become more active and confidence. This is suitable to student of seventh semester. They have problem in understanding meaning of the text in english. This method use narrative text.
        Moreover, this study use method of action research which is consist of planning, acting, observing, and evaluating. Also, the collecting data that they use are qualitative and quantitative data. Quantitative data, the researcher use score and questionare for analyze the data of students. And, qualitative data, the researcher use interview and observation for analyze the data of students.

Improving Reading Comprehension Skills Through the SCRATCH Program

         The second journal  has been written by Erdal Papatga with Ali Ersoy, Turkey. The subject of this journal is for elementary school of fourth grade. This study has done on September 2016. The aim of this journal is to improve student's reading comprehension with Scratch Program. So that, this journal use technology which is to reach student's interest in reading. This study is to change student that has anxiety level to instructional level. The important point is, this program just suitable for children or student in elementary school (1-4 grades). The problem that they have are because they often to be anxiety or not confidence when they do reading. 
          Moreover, this study use method of action research design, that's described as a sytematic process that is conducted to solve the problems and improve the existing status. Also, the collecting data that they use are qualitative and quantitative data. there are many qualitative and quantitative data that the researcher use, one of them are for data analysis. In qualitative data, the researcher use thematic analysis and in quantitative data, the researcher use correlation analysis and kendall w test.
