Hi, everyone, welcome to my blog again
Okay, for this moment, I would to talk about the
part of Research Finding or Result of Research, this is to continue my review
about an International Journal before.
Before I begin to the topic discussion, I will
tell you a little about what is research finding. Research finding or result of
research is where the researcher reports the finding of her or his study based
upon the methodology she or he applied to gather information.

Soooo, this is the section of Research Finding of
the Journal that I have reviewed.

Finding
In this
part, the researcher explains about how she research her study. There is three
cycles in apply DRTA technique in class activity. It means that she takes three
meetings, two meetings for delivering material what she will teach in the class
and one meeting for the post test. She will teach about narrative text in the
class. The activity consists of some steps; identifying problem, planning the
action, implementing the action, observing and monitoring the action also
reflecting and evaluating the results. The activity takes 90 minutes in every
meetings. In every meeting from first meeting until the last meeting she uses
different text of narrative text.
Thus, from
what the resercher has written, she find that she get positive results with
DRTA technique in teaching and learning. They improve their reading competence.
Little by little in every post test, they have good results, it can see from
their score from first meeting until the last. However, beside the positive
results, there is a weaknesses results too. So, for the positive results, she
find that DRTA technique can improvement of students’ reading competence and
improvement of confidence, motivation, and involvement in reading activity. For
the details we can see the results what the researcher write:
1) Improvement of students’ reading competence, this take from
the score of students have. Also, the resercher is analyzing them from what the
problems they have. Look at the table :
In
conclusion, we can see in the table above, the students have improved their
reading competance. They have resolved their problems because they already
could identfying main idea, finding meaning of new word, recognizing
references, determining text purpose, and determining detail information. We
can see the result before uses DRTA technique in pre test and after uses DRTA
technique in post test from 1-3. Their result have good results little by
little. Also, as general we can see the percentage of the result that the
researcher have written, from 56.16% until 76.16%. it means this technique is
success for them.
2) The improvement of confidence, motivation and involvement in
reading activity, from that technique, the students were motivated to learn
english more. They enjoy and give good response during teaching and learning
activity. Their confidence is improvement too. They become more active in the
class, they help each other as individual or group. The activity of DRTA
technique in teaching and learning can using pictures, video, which represented the text in the
narrative, discussion, explanation and to be more interesting.
Thus, from
what she got, she has found the strengths and weaknesses of DRTA technique in
teahing and learning. First, the strenghts of
DRTA technique are students become active, help students to be understand of
the text and help students become
critical in reading skill. Second, for the weaknesses are
the text must be known by student before and it’s not easy to find the material
which covers the need of both students, high and low level of english ability
at the same time.
